Reversible bag

Hello... is there still somebody who is reading this blog? If yes, thank you very much for your patience! Today there is a new post after almost one year of unintended blogging break. It's not that I haven't made something to show you, it's just getting nice pictures that seems to be the problem too often, especially during winter. But I don't want to bore you with my lame apologies and show you some stuff instead:

I made a Reversible Bag, a pattern by Novita from very purple person. I have made this bag before (not shown in this blog unfortunately) and it's one of those just brilliant patterns. Mine is not truly reversible because I used a sturdier fabric on the outside and a quilting Cotton on the inside. I also put in a zipped pocket, the colour of the zip matches the red of the fabric so well, that it is really almost invisible :-) I also made a litty key ring to go with it and together I think it makes a very nice present for a dear friend.

Heute gibt es nach fast einem Jahr unbeabsichtigter Blog-Pause endlich mal wieder einen neuen Post. Eigentlich ist es nicht so, dass ich nichts mehr machen würde, was ich zeigen könnte, es ist eher so, dass das schöne Fotos das Problem sind, besonders in der dunklen Jahreszeit. Aber ich will Dich auch gar nicht länger mit meinen lahmen Ausreden langweilen, sondern Dir lieber was zeigen:

Ich habe eine Reversible Bag gemacht, nach einem Schnittmuster von Novita von very purple person. Ich habe diese Tasche schon einmal gemacht (hatte leider keinen Auftritt im blog) und es ist eines dieser brillianten Schnittmuster, die einfach funktionieren und toll aussehen! Meine ist nicht wirklich zum Wenden, da ich einen viel festeren Außenstoff verwendet habe und einen Quiltstoff auf der Innenseite. Außerdem habe ich noch eine Reißverschlusstasche ins Futter genäht, der Reißverschluss passt so gut zum rot des Stoffes, dass er fast unsichtbar ist :-) Dazu habe ich dann noch ein kleines Schlüsselband gemacht und ich denke, dass beides zusammen ein sehr nettes Geschenk für eine liebe Freundin ergibt.

Handbag :: Handtasche

This handbag, I made today, is for a dear friend in he UK whose birthday will be next week. So I have to hurry to bring it to the post office so that it will arrive in time.

The outer fabric is grey wool and the lining is a beautiful polka dot fabric in aqua. I really like ths combination of colours.

This is the first time I tried to insert a zipper pocket into the lining. I used this great tutorial here.

Pattern: my own

Diese Handtasche habe ich heute gemacht. Sie ist für eine liebe Freundin in England, deren Geburtstag nächste Woche ist. Also muss ich mich schnell beeilen, damit es noch rechtzeitig ankommt.

Der Aussenstoff ist grauer Wollstoff und innen ein türkisfarbener Baumwollstoff. Ich mag diese Farbkombination wirklich sehr.

Dies ist das erste Mal, dass ich mich an einer Reissverschlusstasche im Futter versucht habe. Ich habe diese tolle Anleitung gefunden .
