Baby Cardigan :: Babyjäckchen

Here is the 2nd knitted present for my new nephew Louis Gabriel. I chose the Baby Sophisticate pattern because I fell in love the moment I first saw it. I think it is perfect for a little boy, and indeed makes them look like little gentlemen. There really aren't that many typical boy patterns. I substituted the recommended wool yarn for a cotton / acrylic mix since this is for a summer baby and it shouldn't be too warm and it should be easily washable. The result is still quite a thick fabric, but it will fit in autumn and perhaps that's ok for then. I added a little label made of toy soldier fabric, isn't that cute?

Hier ist das zweite gestrickte Geschenk für meinen neuen Neffen Louis Gabriel. Ich habe das "Baby Sophisticate" Muster ausgesucht, weil ich mich sofort als ich es das erste Mal sah, darin verguckt habe. 9Ich finde, es ist perfekt für einen kleinen Jungen und es lässt sie tatsächlich wie kleine Gentlemen darin aussehen. Es gibt nämlich gar nicht so viele typische Jungs-Muster. Ich habe das vorgeschlagene Woll-garn durch eine Bauwoll-Mischung ersetzt, da es ja ein Sommer-Baby ist und es nich so warm sein sollte, doch das Resultat ist trotzdem recht dick geworden. Wahrscheinlich wird das Jäckchen aber sowieso erst im Herbst richtig passen, so dass es dann vielleicht doch wieder ok ist. Ich hab noch ein Label aus Spielzeugsoldatenstoff (klingt toy soldier fabric nicht so viel einfacher?) hinzugefügt, süß, was?
